The Band

  • Members: Cuinn, Peter, Tone, Pete(r)
  • Origin: Seattle, WA
  • Genre: Indie / Alt Rock

  • In 2018, Waxer emerged from the Seattle underground scene methodical and music-forward. Hailing from a love for The Police, Waxer released their first single "Why" with agnst and joy. Later inspired by the Demarco and Post-Demarco DIY waves, Waxer released their DIY debut album "Rodeo One." A lush and warm indie rock album earning props from local Seattle cohorts. With the release of the "Belvedere," Waxer turned to inflections from bush-wackers Mk.gee and Toro Y Moi while maintaining Police vocal sensibilities. New swords "Lost on You" and "Kerfuffle" hint at things to come with releases tempered by The Districts, The Strokes, The Smiths, Steve Lacy, Yves Tumor, Blind Melon, and Kings of Leon

Cuinn

Cuinn

  • Instrument: Guitar/Vox
  • Hometown: Spokane, WA
  • Likes: Digiorno, grandpas, the color yellow
  • Dislikes: Car trouble, low VOX in the monitors, bad anime dubs

  • Cuinn's preferred method of writing a song involves distilling from the ether two distinct guitar lines fused into one complicated pinky-breaking tune. Once bottled up, he dowses his guitar in the song's potion and throws his guitar from a rooftop. Where his guitar splits determines the percentage of the original tune for which Cuinn becomes a steward. The remainder of the song and guitar is burnt in effigy of broken strings and forgotten licks.

Peter

  • Instrument: Drums
  • Hometown: Lafayette, CA
  • Likes: Coffee, Gene Simmons, that night feeling
  • Dislikes: People saying "San Fran", crowds clapping on 1 and 3, alarm clocks

  • They say that Peter himself invented the concept of time while practicing his rudiments as a wee lad in middle school jazz band. One single syncopated snare snap simultaneously rebooted the world's cesium-clocks and sundials, syncronising with Peter's paradiddles and ensuring his passing grade. Unfortunately, his semi-annual benders with double kick drum pedals is the reason we still have daylight savings time.

Peter
Tone

Anthony aka "Tone"

  • Instrument: Bass
  • Hometown: Heidelberg, Germany
  • Likes: Steel frames, light roasts, afro picks
  • Dislikes: Losing flies, leaky boxer engines, tinnitus

  • While suffering from senioritis in college, Anthony silently wept over his bass guitar one cold February evening. That same night, the ghost of James Jamerson visited Anthony in his apneatic slumber. James told Anthony, "Remember Tone, the junk keeps the funk," and handed dreaming Anthony a set of grimey, flatwound bass strings. Anthony awoke with those same dirty strings under his pillow and immediately restrung his bass.

Pete(r)

  • Instrument: Guitar
  • Hometown: Seattle, WA
  • Likes: shredding gnar, free-form jazz, polarized lenses
  • Dislikes: Rock gardens, bright lights, the Jedi Order

  • Peter was unable to speak in complete sentences until his 13th birthday. For the first half of his life, he spoke only through an electric guitar plugged straight into his mouth. The boy could work a crowd to tears, performing musical readings of Shakespeare, Goethe, and Steinbeck. It wasn't until his first listen of Miles Davis' Bitches Brew that he could finally vocalize his thoughts and feelings. Despite learning to speak with words, he prefers expressing himself chromatically.
